Rollback to Float
The foundation of water survival. Your baby learns to roll onto their back, float independently, and maintain a breathing position—giving them crucial seconds that can save their life if they ever fall into water unexpectedly.

Children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory processing differences, and other developmental needs face higher risks around water. At My Baby Swims, we provide ISR-based survival swim lessons adapted specifically for neurodivergent and special needs children, meeting each child exactly where they are. Every child is unique.
Call or email us to share more about your child—we’ll help you determine the best path forward.
Our certified ISR instructors are trained to work with children who are neurodivergent or have special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorders, developmental delays, and physical differences.
Fences, alarms, and supervision are important—but they are not foolproof. Children with autism or special needs may be drawn to water, wander unexpectedly, or not respond to verbal cues. Even the most attentive caregivers can face moments where barriers break down. ISR teaches your child what to do when no one can get there in time.
Unlike supervision, survival skills do not depend on constant monitoring. Through gentle repetition, ISR lessons build muscle memory and instinctive responses that stay with your child over time.
Children with special needs often benefit from a slower, trust-based approach. Most programs last 6–8 weeks, allowing additional time for comfort, adjustment, and confidence.
We focus on connection, predictability, and comfort. No rushing. No forced skills. Just helping your child feel safe in the water.
Using ISR techniques adapted for neurodivergent learners, we introduce survival skills like roll-to-float through repetition and patience.
Your child practices skills in different scenarios, reinforcing calm responses and independent survival behaviors.

We offer the same proven ISR programs, adapted with extra patience and specialized techniques for neurodivergent learners.

The foundation of water survival. Your baby learns to roll onto their back, float independently, and maintain a breathing position—giving them crucial seconds that can save their life if they ever fall into water unexpectedly.

Building on survival basics, your child masters the complete self-rescue sequence: swim toward safety, roll to float and rest when tired, then continue swimming. This powerful skill set gives them the confidence and ability to reach the edge on their own.
